    5/17/2017 -- Cleveland has taken the first steps in its quest to become a chapter of Say Yes to Education, a national nonprofit that works with communities to prepare their students for college and help them cover shortfalls in tuition costs.

  • Work starts on six schools

    5/17/2017 -- By the end of the month, work should be under way on replacements for Fullerton, Sunbeam, Oliver H. Perry and H. Barbara Booker schools. The District also will start building elementary schools on the site of the former William Rainey Harper School, which the District closed in 2010 and later demolished, and on the grounds of Whitney M. Young Leadership Academy.

  • Browns break ground for John Adams field (video)

    5/16/2017 -- The Cleveland Browns, CMSD and the city broke ground Tuesday for installation of a synthetic-turf football field at John Adams High School. The field is the fourth of five that the team is donating to the District and will be placed on what is now empty land.

  • Cavaliers, Goodyear pledge money for STEM

    5/15/2017 -- The donation was announced Monday, when the Cavs and Goodyear revealed a multiyear sponsorship agreement. Goodyear’s logo will appear on Cavaliers player uniforms beginning in the 2017-18 season.

  • United Arab Emirates embassy donates soccer field

    5/15/2017 -- The field is located at Franklin D. Roosevelt School and will be dedicated this week.
