2/22/2017 -- The District will test Bus Tracker at three schools – Riverside, Campus International and Miles – this school year. The system is expected to be in use across the District next school year, said Eric Taylor, executive director of transportation.
While students had the day off, District teachers, paraprofessionals, administrators and educators of all types gathered to share ideas, learn from experts and make plans to accelerate the progress they’re already making.
2/15/2017 -- Facing History New Tech students this week listened to the firsthand account of 88-year-old Albert Hersh, a Jewish man who was sent to the Auschwitz concentration camp at age 14. The students had the chance to ask Hersh questions, take a photo with him, and for those who were particularly touched by his story, ask for a handshake or a hug.
2/14/2017 -- In a message sent to employees Monday, District Chief Executive Officer Eric Gordon said he believed CMSD's enrollment gains over the last two years are a "testament to the caring, concerned, responsive school district we are continuing to become." He reminded them that "every single one of our customer experiences matter, whether it is colleague-to-colleague or extended to the customers that walk through our doors."
2/13/2017 -- The new deal will go into effect immediately after CTU members and the school board ratify the contract.
2/7/2016 -- For students dealing with social isolation, eating lunch alone can be one of the hardest parts of the day. That’s why seventh- and eighth-graders at Artemus Ward School have pledged to become more inclusive and look out for their classmates.
