District CEO Eric Gordon was honored by The Cleveland Play House over the weekend as a "Centennial Star" for helping to create a "rich and successful relationship" between the Play House and CMSD.
The Plain Dealer reported that past honorees have included Joel Grey, Case Western Reserve University President Barbara Snyder and legendary patron of the arts Roe Green.
Green, arts patron, community activist, and chief executive officer of the Roe Green Foundation, received the the "Super Nova Star Award" from the Play House Saturday. She and CEO Gordon chaired the event Saturday, "Cosmopolitan: A Roaring 20s Celebration," the annual Cleveland Play House benefit night.
It was a big weekend for the nation's oldest regional theater, which won a Tony Award Sunday night.
