CMSD students will complete take-home assignments to make up for three days of classes canceled due to weather.
As of Wednesday, the District had used eight calamity days this winter. Students need to make up the three days to meet the minimum instructional time required by the state – 910 hours for kindergarten through sixth grade and 1,001 hours for seventh grade through high school.
Students can make up as many as three days by completing “Blizzard Packs” that will be available through the schools or online. To find the online versions, click here.
The District has options if students have to make up more days. For example, classes could be held on day that has been set aside for teacher training.
