26 athletes take part in National Signing Day (video)

High school student-athletes across the country committed to college sports programs on National Letter of Intent Signing Day, including 26 from CMSD.
Proud parents watched as the athletes picked up pens and signed their commitment letters Wednesday at the District's East Professional Center.
The group included Chauncy Sanders, who will join the basketball program at Alabama A&M University after playing four years for his father and head coach, Christopher, at John Hay, Glenville quarterback Mykol Brooks, who will play football at the U.S. Naval Academy, Glenville defensive back Coby Bryant, who is headed to the University of Cincinnati, and Glenville defensive lineman Teeshaun Turpin, bound for the University of Tennessee at Martin. Brooks, Bryant and Turpin were among 18 Glenville football players to sign.

The players who received scholarships and the colleges are listed below. All are football players with the exception of Sanders.
