Participants will learn how to use the Next Step Guided Reading Assessment to assess students for literacy development and plan standards based instruction that supports the balanced literacy framework. Participants will leave with resources to implement strategies discussed and will be required to complete follow up activities that include reporting student progress and observations of learning. Please confirm attendance with your principal or building administrator. Participants can use 100 minutes to compensate time if administrators approve. The Early Childhood Office will not provide monetary compensation for attendance. We ask that you do not hold a space in registration if you are not sure of your attendance commitment.
