Ms. Rie Fortin
Greetings! My name is Ms. Rie Fortin and I teach Senior Capstone, ELA III along with AVID 10. This is my 11th year teaching at Lincoln West (sixth year with Global Studies) . I love my job, especially when students and I grapple with events happening around the world, think deeply and thoughtfully and develop possible solutions to the issues that concern us.
Some fun facts about me: I am an avid hiker and camper, year-round, in all weather conditions. I practice yoga, read a lot and am a mother of two daughters; my oldest daughter is a senior at University of Cincinnati and my youngest daughter will begin her freshman year at Loyola University of Chicago. I speak French, my family and I lived in France for two years. I like to cook, hang out with my cats and take long walks around the Shaker Lakes. My life is joyful with so many wonderful colleagues and friends!
