Bard High School Early College Cleveland East Campus
3817 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive Cleveland, OH 44105
At the new Bard High School Early College Cleveland East Campus, students have the unique opportunity to earn both a high school diploma and an associate of arts degree from a respected liberal-arts college in just four years—tuition free.
The new school, which is a partnership between the Cleveland Metropolitan School District and Bard College of New York, is among a handful of schools of its kind in the country and the second of its kind in the District. Students can graduate from BHSEC with 60 transferable college credits and learn from teachers who are accredited Bard College faculty.
Every day, the school strives to live up to the Bard College motto, “A Place to Think.” BHSEC is seeking students who are intellectually curious and eager to jump-start their college education. While there is no minimum GPA or test score requirement, all applicants must participate in an interview, a writing assessment and a review of the student’s prior academic record.
Bard seeks to admit applicants who demonstrate intellectual curiosity, maturity and a love of learning. All applicants to Bard must participate in an admission interview.
